Choosing Wisely, an initiative of the ABIM Foundation (Advancing medical professionalism to improve health care), aims to spark patient-physician conversations by providing lists of “Things Physicians and Patients Should Question”.
These lists, created by leading medical specialty societies, contain evidence-based recommendations on common, but often unnecessary tests and procedures that physicians and patients should talk about.
The doctors at NRM work to utilize evidence-based medicine, and follow Practice Guidelines established by ASRM. Our goal is to evaluate and treat patients in the most appropriate and cost-effective manner.
