Christine Murray MD brings experience and knowledge to the fertility practice
Growing up in Minnesota with a father and grandfather who were physicians, medical school seemed inevitable for Christine Murray MD. One of our Vermont fertility specialists continues with her fine family tradition of medical care by providing expert diagnosis and treatment to patients with fertility issues.
Dr. Murray graduated from Mayo Medical School in Minnesota in 1987. After her internship at Georgetown University, she had two years of residency training in the field of psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic before deciding that she was better suited to women’s health. One of our Vermont fertility specialists moved to Montreal, Canada for her residency training and training as a fellow in reproductive endocrinology.
At McGill, Christine Murray MD met her husband and found amazing friends and mentors. Marriage to a French-speaking anesthesiologist and her work in Montreal required that she learn a second language. Thanks to an immersive course in French, she is fluent in the language and helps our French-speaking patients.
Dr. Murray co-founded Northeast Reproductive Medicine
In 1999, Dr. Murray moved to Burlington, VT and worked for the next 14 years at the University of Vermont Medical Center and became associate professor in the division of reproductive endocrinology. In 2004, Dr. Murray became the residency program director and held that position for eight years. Christine Murray MD, along with Dr. Peter Casson, decided to open NRM to bring affordable, comfortable care to patients. Dr. Murray specializes in the following areas.

Dr. Murray has three (now adult) children who are passionate skiers, learning to master the slopes at age two from Dr. Jennifer Brown’s in-laws, the “skiing Cochrans.” In her own free time, Dr. Murray likes to knit and practice other fiber arts, read, play the piano and hike with her golden retrievers.
