NRM Celebrates Successful First Year

Posted October 14, 2015 by Claire

NRM sends a huge thank you to our extended community of patients, referring doctors and colleagues for helping to make our inaugural year a success. Since opening day in October, 2014, we have seen patients from all corners of Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, and Canada, and the results speak for themselves: we are honored to have assisted over 100 ongoing pregnancies to date!

What is NRM’s Mission? To provide state-of-the-art fertility and reproductive health care in a comfortable, convenient, and affordable environment. The feedback has been resounding—our patients feel that they benefit from our cutting-edge technology while at the same time receiving personalized, cost-effective care.

NRM’s Patient Care:

Personalized

NRM’s team of doctors, nurses, embryologists, and staff is passionate about building families! We have been providing fertility therapy for more than 40 years combined; this experience allows us to understand the many different concerns facing our patients. We share in the struggles and the victories.

The most rewarding aspect of our job is meeting new babies: as NRM turns 1, we have had many exciting visits from these expanding families. It never gets old, and we are honored and privileged to see happy new moms and dads!

Affordable

The costs associated with fertility treatments can be daunting. Indeed, the fear of this can keep many people from seeking help. At NRM, we strive to provide the most affordable care. We do not believe in ordering unnecessary testing and have partnered with the national Choosing Wisely campaign to recommend only those treatments needed to help patients achieve their goals. Our administrative staff works closely with insurance companies to identify covered services and help patients understand their benefits. NRM offers financing for many procedures to help with upfront cost- a first for the state of Vermont. This approach to affordable care has helped us to provide advanced reproductive care to patients who previously thought they could not afford it.

Comfortable

NRM’s office space was designed with patient comfort in mind. The parking is free and easy. The views of Lake Champlain and the mountains provide a serene and calm respite. We strive to keep convenient office hours and to structure follow- up visits efficiently, understanding that patients have busy lives and schedules.

State of the Art

NRM’s cutting-edge laboratory technology allows us to offer the highest chance of success for our patients. Using the most advanced protocols, equipment, and incubators, the IVF lab provides the best environment for growing embryos. Advanced vitrification techniques give patients the opportunity to successfully preserve their fertility for a variety of social and medical reasons. CAP,CLIA and SART certification assures that our laboratory maintains the highest standards.

On site blood testing gives patients quick, accurate results without the inconvenience of parking and waiting at laboratories.

In addition, we continue to provide detailed, 3D ultrasound services for all gynecologic issues. Same day consultation services make the most of this advanced technology.

Oncofertility Services

Providing oncofertility services to our community has been one of our top priorities. We have been able to help a number of patients preserve their fertility potential by freezing eggs or sperm prior to potentially damaging chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Given the remarkable strides in cancer care and survival, we believe that this service is a truly important one-so much so that we offer these services at cost to our patients.

Community Involvement

From underwriting at Vermont Public Radio to sponsoring events such as the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction and the Lake Monsters American Cancer Society evening, the NRM team has enjoyed being a part of our fabulous community, extending from Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York into Canada.

It’s been a first wonderful year. We are so happy to be here and so grateful to our patients and referring providers! We look forward to another year of success, happiness and helping families grow.
